Meet The Staff

Our staff is committed to nurturing a culture of personal responsibility, self-discipline, respect and love for self and others. But first and foremost, they focus their energies on helping our residents reap all the benefitsĀ of our programs and services.

  • Being Executive Director at Reviving Lives is the perfect position for my broad range of working experiences. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Bridgewater State in Massachusetts. I started college at UNCĀ Greensboro as an Education Major and began working with children with special needs. I didn't get my teaching license until just before the pandemic, after I had been teaching Physical Education for four years. That experience came in handy while I homeschooled my daughter over 3rd and 4th grades. In between college and becoming a PE teacher I joined the Air Force National Guard and worked in Tennessee as an Ophthalmic Technician and got married in 2009 and had my daughter in 2010 and became a registered yoga teacher.

I am a person in long term recovery from Alcohol Use Disorder. I was born in Minneapolis, MN to an unmarried girl of 16. My papa had been an alcoholic and mental illness runs deep in my family. I am very passionate about the cross section of mental illness, childhood trauma, and SUDs. My experience has taught me that trauma-sensitive approaches to teaching others about their mind-body-spirt connections combined with resiliency focused practices are a winning combination to healing from anything.

Working helping others, especially those with substance use disorder, is a passion of mine. I am a certified Peer Support Specialist and a WRAP Facilitator and Teacher. I have been in recovery from substances since May of 2017. Working a 12 step program has been a vital part of my own journey, and the way Reviving Lives prioritizes the steps is nothing short of amazing; the transformation I get to witness is humbling and miraculous. When I'm not working with the incredible men we serve at RLM, family time keeps me grounded. My partner, son and myself love spending time with our nearby families and visiting the beach. I have been a dedicated member of the RLM family for six month and look forward to what we will achieve in the years to come!
